Other FacilitiesPine Tree Retreat is a working livestock farm, and there's often plenty to see happening on the 225-acre property. Maize is planted in October and harvest in March, and grass silage is made between October and February.

Make sure to bring your walking clothes and shoes so you can stroll around the farm - maybe even watching the farm dogs earning their keep - while you head to Murray and Marie's private Kaipara Harbour beach where you can enjoy kayaking.

We also have workshops for mosaics and other crafts.

Marie provides Reiki Seichem and Shaman Healing's, plus Kahuna massage of 1/2 to 1.5 hours on request.
There is also a foot spa d-tox available.

Marie and two others have a shop in Helensville called The Healing Heart of Helensville where they all share their knowledge with healing's, yoga, mosaics, crafts, crystals, health products and many other things.

Just up the road is the lovely ARC Park, Mosquito Bay, Lake Ototoa and Lake Kereta to walk and take in the natural habitat at a leisurely pace and the South Head Golf Club.

The Garden

With panoramic views over the Kaipara Harbour and South Head farmlands, Murray and Marie Narbey's new hilltop brick and tile home offers the perfect recipe for a relaxing getaway.

The surrounding pine trees are complemented by the recently planted Spiritual Labyrinth featuring four magnificent Archangels, and the Crystal Chakra Gardens alongside the orchard. During your visit you may hear peacocks and other birds and wildlife.

We also have a lovely new Sanctuary for Meditations, Yoga meetings and workshops.

The Gardener

Your hosts Marie and Murray love to meet new people and sharing their home and gardens with others. They started their home and gardens from scratch and with their spiritual guidance are coming up with new and fresh ideas to improve it all the time. They both love to travel, walking, fishing, gardening, farming, craft work, enjoy their 2 jack russells - Shorty and Ringo, and spend time with their family and friends.

Medicine Wheel, It helps us with our "Vision," to see exactly where we are and in which areas we need to develop in order to realize and become our potentials.
Sanctuary, A sanctuary is the consecrated area of a church or temple around its tabernacle or altar. An animal sanctuary is a place where animals live and are protected. In modern parlance the term is used to mean a place of safety.
Labyrinth, In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in the labyrinth symbol, which inspired me to create the garden. A labyrinth has only one path. It is unicursal. The way in is the way out. There are no blind alleys. The path leads you on a circuitous path to the center and out again.
Wind chimes are chimes constructed from suspended tubes, rods or other objects. Ours are made of metal. They are usually hung outside of a building or residence, as a visual and aural garden ornament, to be played by the wind.
Archangel is a term meaning an angel of high rank. Archangels are found in a number of religious traditions, including Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Mosaic Zodiac Sign, The zodiac is a spherical celestial coordinate system. It designates the ecliptic as its fundamental plane and the position of the Sun at Vernal equinox as its prime meridian.
